Dr. "Jimmy" Peltier is Department Chair and the Arno Kleimenhagen Professor of Sales and Marketing, and Director of the Institute for Sales Excellenceat the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.  He has been an American Marketing Association advisor for 30 years.  In 2011 Jimmy earned the prestigious AMA Collegiate Faculty Advisor Life-time Achievement Award.  This lifetime recognition comes on the heels of his selection as Robert C. Clarke Lifetime Educator Award, Social Entrepreneur of the Year, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Faculty Service Award, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Outstanding Researcher Award, and most recently, UW-Whitewater’s Outstanding Educator Award. n 1986 Jimmy started Creative Marketing Unlimited, our Chapter's student research business, which still flourishes today. Jimmy was been on the AMA Collegiate Chapters Council (the council that oversees all student AMA chapters) for 13 years, twice as President. 

In addition to receiving over 40 regional, national, and international research and teaching awards, Jimmy is also President of Applied Ph.D. Research and Marketing, LLC, and was the Director of Research for Knupp & Watson Advertising for 20 years. During his time as advisor or co-advisor, UWW's AMA chapter has won the International Best Chapter Award a record 11 times, nine times since 2001. In addition to being founding Editor of the International Journal of Integrated Marketing Communications, Jimmy is Associate Editor of the Journal of Marketing Education.  He has published over 110 journal articles in the areas of Internet marketing, advertising, database marketing, marketing education, health care marketing, information privacy, Internet marketing, emergency preparedness, among others. 

Dr. Scovotti, Associate Professor

Dr. Carol Scovotti is a Professor of Marketing and Fulbright Scholar at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She is also a Visiting Professor and Board of Advisors member at Cologne University of Applied Sciences (CUAS) in Germany. In additional to teaching marketing strategy and international marketing, Carol serves as the faculty advisor for the CUAS and Umea University (Sweden) exchange relationships. She is also the advisor for new AMA diversity initiative. Her research focuses on cross border collaboration, multicultural virtual teamwork, and team governance. Carol holds a doctorate in international business, marketing, and information technology from Pace University in New York City, a Masters in Business Administration from Loyola University of Chicago, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Marquette University. Prior to entering academia, she spent 22 years in the direct marketing and international telecommunications industries.



Dan Herlache, Lecturer

As a lecturer and Assistant Director for the Institute for Sales Excellence, Dan brings over 35 years of outside sales and sales management experience to the University of  Wisconsin-Whitewater, and AMA chapter.  A graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Dan began his career in retail management and soon transitioned into business to business sales, selling copy machines.  He then worked for a fortune 500 company selling document management products and filing systems.  From there Dan went to a large commercial insurer specializing in specific niche industries.  He became a sales manager for the last 22 years of his career, hiring, recruiting and training sales people, while managing over 400 commercial accounts.  During his long sales career, Dan earned numerous awards and incentive trips while creating a reputation for promoting and developing people.  Dan is a longtime member of the UW-Whitewater AMA and served as an external advisor to the UW-Whitewater Marketing Department and AMA Chapter for many years before becoming a lecturer.  Developing and training people is his passion.

Dr. Andrew Dahl, Lecturer

Andy Dahl is a Marketing Lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and AMA co-advisor since 2009. Andy serves as the primary advisor for Creative Marketing Unlimited, the student-run marketing consulting branch which provides UWW AMA members extensive professional development experience. Under Andy’s direction, UWW student teams made the semi-finals of the Collegiate ECHO Marketing Challenge four times in the past five years, including a 2014 Silver ECHO Marketing team featuring UWW AMA members. In addition to teaching digital marketing courses, Andy has over fifteen years of marketing consulting experience including over ten years as Director of Research/Partner at Applied PhD Research, LLC. Beyond helping hundreds of clients establish database marketing efforts, launch products, or evaluate marketing/branding efforts, Andy served as the program director of a four-year national social media campaign raising awareness and support for organ donation. His research interests include digital marketing, value co-creation, internal marketing, and health care marketing. John DeGraff, Adjunct Marketing Professor

John DeGraff is a marketing practitioner who joined UW-Whitewater as marketing adjunct professor in 2013. He leverages his experience as a social entrepreneur, launching over 150 new products, working with 20 of the Fortune 500, and specializing in entrepreneurial marketing. He is also an advisor to two Innovation Centers. DeGraff loves helping local AMA and ENACTUS members to have a positive impact on society and to help make innovation happen!

Dr. Cummins received her Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska following placement as a Fulbright Fellow at the Warsaw School of Economics in Warsaw, Poland.  Dr. Cummins worked in the medical and advocacy fields prior to completing her Ph.D. Her research interests include supplier networks, sales relationships, cognitive frameworks, and marketing performance-outcomes.  Dr. Cummins enjoys participating in the UW-W AMA Sales Programming.  In conjunction with the UW-W Institute for Sales Excellence, she runs 7 competitions held on campus each year for UW-W students.  Each competition offers students the opportunity to improve their speaking and relationship-building skills with business professionals and win prize money.  Last year, more than $10,000 was awarded to students through these competitions.  Dr. Cummins graduated from the University of Nebraska and has previously lived and worked in Nebraska, Washington, D.C. and Europe.  She and her husband, Clay, have 2 young boys and a dog, Nellie.
